Freedom Fighter Media - Draw Mohammed Day

Have you drawn your Mohammed cartoon? You'd better hurry. The official date for Draw Mohammed is 20 May. There's even a link on Facebook!

Freedom Fighter Media isn't entering in the festivities. The simple reason is that no one knows what Mohammed looks like. He could be the identical twin of Rodney Dangerfield for all I know. So, a representation of Dangerfield, er, Mohammed is impossible, meaning that a cartoon "showing" Mohammed is just as impossible. And such a cartoon is nothing to get murderously upset about because that just makes you look crazy.

Instead, I've opted to show a 50s Men's magazine. The cover features a fetching Arabic gal (the model for it was probably from Flatbush), fighting off a French Legionnaire who's trying to rescue the ungrateful wench from marauding brigands. I could assume the bad guys in this great painting are Muslim, but that would be profiling so let's assume they're just as likely to be Mormons, or Buddhists, of Southern Baptists. Yeah. That's the ticket.
